As I was talking to some friends the other day, the topic of wallpaper came up. One of the girls said, “I think wallpaper is starting to come back in”. Well, I almost fell over because wallpaper … never went out! Now I must clarify, there are certain types and styles of wallpaper that are not on trend these days. However, if you choose the right wallpaper, you can’t go wrong. In fact, you will kick your room up another notch!

The Entryway

Let’s face it, the entrance into your home should feel welcoming and free of clutter. And it should set the tone for the rest of your house.

Both of these entryways offer a classic style with the shiplap and woodwork on the lower half of the wall. In each space, the patterned wallpaper adds something warm and inviting, as well as some style.

Love the clean lines and geometric patterns in this entryway.

The Mudroom/Laundry Room

Those of us that are lucky enough to have that much needed mudroom, probably use this area as an alternate entrance into our home. Sometimes the mud room doubles as the laundry room and….we might as well make the laundry room as lovely as possible…and maybe we will forget that we are actually doing laundry!

Clean & crisp with a touch of blue! The blue and white wallpaper in this room frames the window out beautifully.

This large print and dark color palette almost makes you forget that there is a washer and dryer in the room!

Any dog lovers out there? I think your pup would feel right at home in this space! I mean seriously….doggie wallpaper? Can it be any cuter?

Dining Room

Wallpaper adds a touch of elegance to any dining room. However, the style, patterns and textures we see in dining rooms these days, are quite different than those of the past.

The soft aqua patterned wallpaper sets a stunning backdrop for the white statement chandelier, upholstery and neutral drapery.

Bathrooms

A great space to add color is in the bathroom. Consider starting in the powder bath! Generally bathrooms are not the biggest rooms in the house and the wall space is limited…so it’s a great space to give wallpaper a try!

We always love a fun coastal print. The coral color, mixed with the blue octopus creates a colorful bold statement. While the pale blue and gold coral pattern makes a softer, more subtle statement.

Built-In’s

There are so many design elements to use when it comes to built-in’s….and wallpaper is one of them. If your room is in need of some extra depth, a pop of color or some texture, try wallpapering the back wall of your built-in’s.

These are all fantastic examples of how adding some wallpaper to the back of built-in’s, can really amp up your space. Whether you choose something neutral or go for a bold color, you will be sure to add some style.

Little Nooks

Sometimes, we come across little nooks in a house that can be transformed into a special spot. And sometimes that little nook can become even more special with some wallpaper!
