Customer Satisfaction

We stand behind our products’ quality and our customers’ satisfaction with your purchase. Many of our products are hand-crafted, one of a kind, and antiques which makes many of the items you purchase through Coastal Décor unique. Variations in shape, color and size may occur due to the above. We make every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products shown. The actual colors displayed on your computer monitor will depend on your computer, and we cannot guarantee that your display of color will be accurate. Due to the unique quality of many of our products, many of these products are available in limited quantities or require long lead times.

Coastal Décor appreciates your business and with that has developed this site as a service to our customers. There are basic rules that govern the use of this site and your use of this site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms. Coastal Décor reserves the right to revise the contents of this agreement at any time and therefore if you do not agree to the terms, please do not use this site.

Disclaimer

Coastal Décor is not responsible for any viruses or harmful elements on this site and by using this site, the user assumes full responsibility for any costs associated with the use of our site. As a user, you agree that Coastal Décor will not be liable for damages of any kind related to your use of this site and you use this site at your own risk.

Content

Although we strive to keep our site current and accurate at all times, there may be occasionally information that is incomplete, inaccurate or dated. Any errors are completely unintentional and may be reflected in the price of an item, the availability of an item or in other ways. Coastal Décor reserves the right to correct errors or to update product information any time without notice. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, Coastal Décor has the right to refuse or cancel any order whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has been charged, Coastal Décor will credit your card for the amount of the incorrect price of the item ordered.

Order Confirmation Agreement

Order confirmations are automatically sent to the billing email address given by you during checkout. IN ORDER TO RESERVE YOUR PRODUCT WITH OUR MANUFACTURERS, YOUR CREDIT CARD MAY BE CHARGED THE BALANCE OF YOUR SALES ORDER AT THE TIME YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER. If upon placing your order online, you don’t receive an email confirmation within 48 hours please contact us immediately at 732.842.8244. Upon receiving your order confirmation via email please review all aspects of the order for data accuracy; you have 24 hours from the time you receive the order confirmation to make any correction to the items listed on the order. If after the 24 hours you wish the items on the order changed, we will attempt to make the change with the manufacturer, if the order cannot be changed with the manufacturer, there will be a restocking fee charged. Orders should not be considered changed, unless you receive from Coastal Décor a confirmation email outlining the changes you requested, which you will only receive upon our verification with the manufacturer that the order has been changed. Upon receiving this email confirmation, you will be required to reply to the change order as verification by you of the changes.

Return policy

We appreciate your business and hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If however, you need to return or exchange an item, please contact Customer Service at 732.842.8244 or email coastaldecor@verizon.net.com for assistance. Not all merchandise is returnable, so please contact us prior to returning an item.

All items need to be inspected within 5 days of receipt of your order. Please notify us immediately if there is a problem with the item or any shipping damage has occurred. For furniture purchases, please make a notation of any shipping damages directly on the freight company packing slip before signing for the delivery. Claims may not be valid if damage is not noted at time of delivery. For all other purchases with shipping damage, we will either email you a return shipping label or ask you to dispose of the item, but please contact us for instructions first. We may ask that you take a few photos if the item is damaged, including photos of the packing materials to help us expedite your claim. Please contact Customer Service at 732.842.8244 or email info@CoastalDecorandDesign.com and we will gladly arrange for an exchange or credit.

If you would like to exchange or return an item that you have received in the last 5 business days, you will need to request a Return Authorization (RA) number (Note that Custom Orders and certain manufacturers are not eligible for return or exchange – Please see below for more information). After submitting your return request, we will review the information and forward via email an RA number and instructions for returning the item. This Return Authorization (RA) number is valid for 15 days. Please do not return items to our Fair Haven, New Jersey address without prior authorization as some returns may have to be shipped back directly to our suppliers. For returns on all lighting, accessories, and mirrors that are not defective, we are required to charge a 25% restocking fee (All Companies here  are items as well as all furniture and textiles are custom made to order and considered final sale). All custom items and certain manufacturers (see below) are final sale, select Artwork is nonreturnable. Please contact use with any questions on whether or not the item you are interested in is a returnable item.

You are responsible for the return shipping charges. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Please pack the item in its original shipping package with a note explaining the return and return via USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex

Important Terms of Sale:

We cannot accept returns on final sale, special order, custom items, or items damaged through normal wear and tear or use. Please note that custom orders begin production immediately upon order and are final sales. Custom orders cannot be cancelled, changed, returned, or refunded at any time.

Please note that items shipped back to us without a return authorization number will not be accepted and will be returned to you. All items must be returned in their original, unworn and unused condition enclosed in original packaging within 15 days for a refund or exchange. Returned items should be free from dirt and debris. In the event an item is returned in a condition where it cannot be resold, you will be asked to have the product picked up at your expense. If not picked up within 15 days of Coastal Décor’s inspection, item will be destroyed in field or given to charity. Shipping fees are non-refundable. We offer free shipping on several of our items. If for any reason you need to return an item with free shipping, the refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost, in addition to the 25% restock fee. Standard shipping costs are based on item prices as outlined within our shipping information. If you opt to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also had free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to cover our costs.

Furniture, Lighting, and Custom Items

Because many of these items are made to order, custom pieces are not returnable or refundable. Custom orders include (but are not limited to) any and all furniture items, textiles. If you are at all uncertain if what you are ordering is considered custom, please contact us to verify. You have up to 24 hours from the date the order was placed to cancel a custom order and to have the amount refunded to your credit card. After 24 hours custom orders are non-refundable. Upon delivery, please take time to inspect all freight shipped furniture items carefully for any damage that may have occurred in transit and contact us immediately. Claims against damaged items must be made within 3 business days. Unfortunately, claims made after the 3 business day window will not be accepted and are unable to be returned. Please refer to our vendor warranties for specific information on individual policies.

If for any reason your custom furniture piece does not arrive with the specifications that you selected when ordering, Coastal Décor reserves the right to have the item or items replaced and reshipped at no additional charge to you. You should contact us immediately if this occurs so that we can get the replacement in the works as soon as possible. While the manufacturers do their best to ensure excellent packaging; occasionally glass and mirror could get damaged at the hands of a delivery carrier in transit. Items received with broken glass ARE NOT considered defective products. Coastal Décor and the manufacturer reserve the right to replace the glass or mirror as quickly as possible. In these cases, you can contact our customer service department to request replacement glass to be sent to you at no additional cost.

Coastal Décor does everything possible to assure a smooth and prompt delivery of your furniture and custom items. However, be aware and consider that there are circumstances out of our control that may arise and result in a delay in the production or delivery of your items. We do our best to give accurate lead times for each furniture manufacturer but estimated lead times are not a guarantee of a specific delivery date. We welcome your inquiries as the estimated delivery time approaches and we can follow up to give you a more specific idea of your ship date at that time. Also note that shipping time for freight items is approximately 7-15 business days from the time that the item(s) are scheduled for pickup from our manufacturer. We act as your liaison to best assist you in a prompt delivery but again, there are variables that are out of our control as we are considered a third party. We know you’ll enjoy the product that is made especially for you!

Color Note: Because every computer monitor displays color differently, we cannot be responsible for variations between the actual product color and how it is displayed on your screen.
Natural Products: All items made from natural products such as but not limited to-limestone, marble, alabaster and granite, sea grass, wood, will have natural variations and no two will be the same. These variations should be expected and are not seen as defects.

Refunds

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 15 days of our receiving your return. Please understand that it takes several days for us to go through returns and to inspect them. After inspection it is sent to our credit department for processing. If accepted, a credit is given and it takes several business days for a credit to post through the credit card processor and issuing bank. All returns and exchanges will be credited less 25% restocking fee and shipping costs. If an item was free shipping, the original shipping costs incurred by Coastal Décor will be deducted. CoastalDecorandDesign.com reserves the right to charge restocking fees on any and all returned or exchanged items. If you have not received a credit and it as been longer than 15 days, please give our Customer Service Department a call at 732-842-8244

Wrong Products Received

If you are shipped a different product than you ordered, please Email Us at info@CoastalDecorandDesign.com or call us at 732.842.8244 within 48 hours of receiving the product. We will provide an RGA # and instructions on how and where to ship them back. We will pay for the freight/shipping back and ship the correct product free of shipping/freight charges.

Cancellations and Changes

If you need to cancel or make changes to an order you must contact us the same day that you placed the order at 732.842.8244. Some orders ship the same day, so we need to know as soon as possible. Calling in or requesting a cancellation does not guarantee your order can be cancelled or changed as it may have already been picked or shipped by CoastalDecorandDesign.com or the manufacturer. Defective Products

If an item is received by you and is thought to be defective please contact us immediately. Photo proof will be required to verify and if deemed defective by Coastal Décor and the manufacture, you will receive a replacement of the same item within 45 days at no cost to you. Coastal Décor  will have the defective product picked up at no cost to you (the item must be in its original packaging). DEFECTIVE PRODUCT MAY NOT BE RETURNED FOR REFUND, REPLACEMENT ONLY. Please be sure to open and inspect your products immediately. Any defect must be reported to the customer service department within 48 business hours of receipt of merchandise. Claims for defective merchandise will not be honored if the items is used or installed. Claims will not be honored after 48 business hours.

Damaged Shipments

A Truck Line freight company may deliver the item(s) you have ordered if they are oversized and noted as freight. You, or persons acting on your behalf, must be present at residence during the time of delivery. If you would like to contact the freight company yourself to schedule your appointment ahead of time, please contact our customer service department. The cutoff time for same day shipment of a Truck Line Freight order is 12:00 A.M. EST.

If you receive a shipment from an order that you placed with Coastal Décor with obvious freight damage, you must refuse the shipment at time of delivery and note the damage on the bill of lading. We will then order and ship a replacement for you. If you sign for the shipment without reporting any damage you are responsible for all damages and must make any claims with the shipper. Please make sure that you inspect all packages before you sign for them.

If you receive a shipment from an order that you placed with CoastalDecorandDesign.com with concealed damage, Line Freight, or Ground Shipments (UPS/FEDEX), you must report the damage within 48 hours to our customer service department. If you fail to report the damage in a timely manner you could be responsible for all damages. Please be sure to open and inspect your products immediately. Any defect must be reported to the customer service department within 48 business hours of receipt of merchandise. Claims for defective merchandise will not be honored if the items is used or installed. Claims will not be honored after 48 business hours.

Shipping on Most Products

CoastalDecorandDesign.com has agreements with most manufacturers to ship your order direct from the manufacturer’s warehouse to your door. You are getting the products straight from the source so there is less chance for delay or a middleman handling the shipments.

Shipping Time Frames

Orders sent via “UPS Ground” average 3 – 7 business days once they leave the factory.
Orders sent via “UPS 2 Day Air” average 2 business days once they leave the factory.
Orders sent via Freight Carrier average 7 -15 business days depending on location once they leave the factory.

*Please keep in mind that these time frames are AFTER the product leaves the factory.

Once you have been contacted by the local delivery agent to set up your delivery, delivery must be scheduled within 10 days. If delivery cannot be scheduled within ten days, please contact us to make special arrangements otherwise, daily Storage Rates will apply for a maximum of 30 days. If after 30 days, delivery has not been completed, the order will be deemed unwanted and disposed of or donated at the discretion of Coastal Décor LLC. Please contact us regarding Daily Storage Rates.

Shipping Rates

CoastalDecorandDesign.com automatically calculates your shipping costs at the time of check out in the shopping cart process once an item is placed into your cart with the apropriate delivery method chosen and your zip code entered. Shipping and handling charges for all items are a per item charge based on the weight of the item, size of the box and the delivery destination. Shipping costs are for the contiguous 48 states. We currently do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US possessions, and foreign countries.

Because furniture, rugs and other large items are bulky, heavy, and may have limited availability, these items have an additional delivery surcharge charge of $150. This charge appears on the “Order Review” page when checking out and is in addition to regular shipping and/or white glove delivery charges, if any, for that product.  Please note that items denoted by a white glove, require an additional shipping fee for special handling, which can include heavy item and/or white glove delivery service.  For freight shipments, you will receive an email notification of the shipment and the Freight Carrier will contact you directly by phone to set up a specific delivery date and time. Most deliveries by freight are curbside only, which consists of curbside or ground level garage delivery of your merchandise. You may find it helpful to have assistance available when your order is delivered if it is an over sized item. White glove delivery of your freight item is available upon request at time of order for an additional fee

Note on Heavy or Oversized Items

We recommend that you measure your space carefully to ensure any heavy or oversized item will fit in your home and consult an expert to ensure your home can structurally support its weight.
P.O. Boxes
Shipment to P.O. Boxes is unavailable, so please supply us with a street address for UPS, Fed Ex, or Freight shipment.
Non-U.S. Addresses
We ship only within the 48 continuous states and regret that we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii or foreign countries.

Tracking Your Order

Once your item has been shipped you may contact Customer Service to obtain a tracking number. Please note that it could take up to 24 hours from the time your order leaves the warehouse to the time the information is available on UPS or another carrier’s website.

Multiple Shipments

If you have a large order and one item is going to cause a delay or is backordered, we may ship your order in multiple shipments. You will not pay any extra shipping charges for the extra shipment(s).

Shipping Backorders

Sometimes an IN-STOCK item may actually be OUT OF STOCK (sometimes an item may sell out before we’ve had a chance to update the web-site)

CoastalDecorandDesign.com is proud to boast and excellent fill rate. We stock most of our inventory, but occasionally some items are unavailable and we must backorder them from other various warehouses across the country or source them directly from the manufacturers. CoastalDecorandDesign.com will make every effort to ship orders complete. If an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will ship it as soon as it becomes available. If the item was with a larger order there will be no freight charge (you only pay freight once). If the item is no longer available we will do our best to notify you immediately.

CoastalDecorandDesign.com does it’s best to ship out products in a timely manner, but we reserve the right to backorder or cancel orders at any time for any reason. You will be notified via email if part or all of your order is back ordered more than 4 weeks.

CoastalDecorandDesign.com will in no way be responsible for losses by customer due to scheduling of electricians, contractors, or other professional installation.

Sales Tax

Coastal Décor LLC. is a registered corporation in the State of New Jersey and is responsible for collecting 7% state sales tax on all orders shipped within the state. Our shopping cart will automatically calculate this tax on all orders shipped within the state of New Jersey
