No longer are sheds being used for men and there tools…..

Not too long ago I was watching Last Man Standing. Vanessa (the wife) was complaining that she had no place to work, because Tim needed his office and didn’t like her taking over “his” space….. so Tim decided that he would build her a she shed, thinking it was a great idea to get her out his space and the the house, for that matter. As he was building her she shed, he realized how great this little and very quiet space would be. I believe he tried to give up his office space so that he could have the shed for himself. Because, that’s right…. it is an area just for us women that’s quiet, secluded, and should be decorated just how we like and should be only for our things.

Weather your style is contemporary or traditional, she sheds come in all different styles. They can be purchased in kits, ranging from $3,600.00 to $5,000.00. Or you have someone who is like Tim, you can build your own, to your specifications.

There are also no rules on weather your shed needs to be in the garden or off the deck. As a designer, it completely depends on the amount of space you have available on your property and where you get the best light.
