Project: Monmouth Beach

Welcome to this gorgeous home located just a few blocks from the ocean, making it the perfect spot for our active clients to enjoy all the amenities of living by the sea from surfing to enjoying the beach with their adorable dogs.

The family room in this home is the perfect spot to watch TV, movies or a game.

With an existing focal wall, we just needed to cozy up the room and make it more functional for entertainment as well as a night in. Knowing our clients are big sports fans and like to have friends over and family gatherings. We Incorporated a custom console table behind the sofa for additional seating and a place to eat or serve food for guests. The sectional was chosen for the nights that you want to curl up by the fire or take an afternoon nap. Occasional chairs were chosen to balance the room and provide a more supportive seating option when older company comes to visit.

BEFORE AFTER

The hallway does not have to be just a pass through, it can be beautiful and functional.

We reused the original family room console table, by making it the base of this area. Pretty art pieces bring in color and texture that work well with the existing grass cloth paper. Since the hallway is right off the family room we added woven ottomans to anchor the table, add texture, and double as additional seating.

We love how the primary bedroom now feels like a luxury hotel while continuing the coastal theme with a grass cloth wall mural that mimics the ocean.

Windows are great to let in natural light, but it was also one of the issues with the room. They tried shutters above the bed and a shade on the door, but the room still did not get dark enough. Wall to wall drapery that matched the paint color was the perfect solution to keep the room light and bright, while a blackout lining was used to give this couple the darkness they craved for a restful night’s sleep.

As you see below it is also Max approved!

To some, kid’s rooms can be the most challenging, but I think they can also be the most creative.

To create this teenager’s room, we collaborated directly with him to create a room that would reflect his needs, personality and interests. Adding organization for different tasks including a desk for homework, a chair for reading and writing, and shelves to display his extensive collection of rubber ducks and paintings.
