4 Easy ways to Refresh your home for Summer
When I think of summertime, I think of outdoor living… So, I like to keep my home light, airy, and as low maintenance as possible, while still taking into account durability.
My personal style is beachy - boho. I love the calmness of the ocean and incorporating an eclectic mix of colors, patterns, and textures to create a relaxed and layered look.
In order to create this look, I started with a cream sofa as the base of the room. This keeps the light aesthetic, as well as choosing neutral tones as the anchor. This fabric is a high-performance fabric called Crypton, which makes it easy to clean. Liquids will bead up allowing you time to wipe it up before it penetrates the fabric causing a stain. When using a neutral base (sofa) it creates an effortless way to change the look for every season.
1 - Accessorizing with pillows and art is one of the easiest ways to make changes to your home.
I chose an abstract piece of art that is reminiscent of the coastline. I brightened the room with decorative pillows that complement the colors in the painting and transport me to the calming effects of the ocean.
2 - Change out your rug for the season
Living by the ocean I opted for an indoor/outdoor rug, for durability and ease of cleaning. This rug can handle the foot traffic, sand from the beach, while still feeling good on your bare feet at the end of the day. This hand-braided design lends a touch of texture, while a muted gray color keeps it neutral enough for any room in your house including the patio.

3 - Lighten Up your Coffee Table in color and size, so it fits your space.
I added this round coffee table that can be lifted to provide the perfect height for writing, reading, or drinking. The small table can be adjusted under the large table to optimize space or can be used separately. The table comes with two drawers and a hidden storage drawer to store magazines, remote controls, toys, or your own little secret.
4 - Freshen up your home with flowers and greenery
Revive the room by adding greenery to bring a piece of the outside in. This is the time of year to g outside and cut fresh greens or flowers from your garden. I used Eucalyptus branches which add to the aroma of the house.
