Bringing some of this hue into your home can be simple…. we love these ideas; a painted piece of furniture, a natural looking or raw element, or a high shine of a metal chair/doorknob. Pantone describes, ultra violet as a “provocative and thoughtful purple shade” that embodies individuality and spirituality

Some of our other favorite ways to bring in just a pop of color are always by adding colorful textiles, accessories, or art. Especially if you are starting with a neutral palette, it is a simple way to add a fresh look to your space, while still making it easy to change if you like to stay on trend.

The color purple has a long and interesting history, and is best known as a symbol for royalty. It used to be that creating the color purple was a long and expensive process that required a lot of skill.Purple is the color that occurs the least in nature, so the dye that created it could only be found in what is now known as modern-day Lebanon, from the shell of a rare sea snail. Around 9,000 of these small snails were needed to create one gram of the dye. Kings and queens aside, this color is also symbolic for daring change such as unconventionality, counterculture, and free expression. Regardless, this color will bring a touch of royalty to any home.
Along with announcing their color of the year, Pantone has also released a color palette for 2018.
